December 2, 2021 Borderway Agri-Expo 29th October 2021

The Borderway Agri-Expo at Harrison & Hetherington, Carlisle took place on Friday 29 October 2021, with several commercial Charolais cross-animals shown.

Molly Malone, Special Charolais Heifer Winner

Winning the British Charolais Society sponsored class ‘Special Charolais Heifer’ was MOLLY MALONE from Hugh & Stewart Dunlop, Holehouse, Ayr.  This home bred heifer is sired by their stock bull Doonvalley Harry, and has an exceptional pedigree behind her as her granny, sired by Allanfauld Vagabond was a sister to the famous 2004 Smithfield Champion Dancing Queen who sold for the record price of £16,000. With this depth of breeding it’s easy to see why Hugh & Stewart have decided she’s far too special to part with and have confirmed she will be kept for breeding.

Molly’s winter show haul included this first in class as well as winning the society prize at Agri-Expo, first in her class at LiveScot in Lanark, and her final show destination being the Royal Welsh Winter Fair where she also took the red ticket back to Holehouse Farm.
