May is a busy month for regional qualifiers, beginning with the first of the Scottish days being held on the 17th at Lochend Farm, Port of Menteith, Stirlingshire by kind invitation of Iain and Rhona Millar. The day was very well organised by regional co-ordinator Karyn McArthur, with talks by Charles Marwood of the Clyde Veterinary Group on bull health and fertility; Stuart Rankin of Falleninch Butchers on cuts of meat and Society Vice Chairman Andrew Hornall on VIA. Congratulations to the winners of the Stockjudging competition – which was judged by John Christie – who went forward to the National Final at the NEC’s Livestock Event on 9th July.
Intermediate Team One – Julie and Laura Wight
