The annual Supreme Spring Export show and sale at Swatragh, saw a quality turnout, with 18 bulls averaging out at £7549, an increase of more than £1500 per head on the year.

Leading the trade at 16,500gns, was Damview Valiant, a Kilduff Rockstar son, out of the Thrunton Bonjovi daughter, Derryharney Naughtygirl, from Claire Ferris, Millisle, Newtownards. This 20-month-old sold to Tateera and Rathmore Farms, Co Louth.

Damview Vintage

Making the second top price of 14,500gns, was another from Claire Ferris, Damview Vintage, which had been selected as reserve overall champion by judge Ian Rea. A full brother to the champion at the Northern Ireland Charolais Cattle Club National Show in 2025, this one is again by Kilduff Rockstar, a bull purchased at Tullamore in 2021. Out of the Sheehills Majestic daughter, Damview Petal, he sold to Robert Workman, Co Antrim.

Brogher Volt

Selling for 11,000gns was the reserve junior champion, Brogher Volt, from Trevor Phair, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. This 16-month-old is by the prolific stock bull Grinshill Roger, while the dam, Brogher Siobhan, is by Whitecliffe James. He sold to Stuart Allan.

Andrew Wallace, Enniskillen, received 8200gns for his 17-month-old bull, Newline Virgil, sired by Horace JD. A first prize winner at the show, he is out of the Oldstone Egbert daughter, Newline Ivy, and sold to John McHenry, Co Antrim.

The female section met a strong demand, with a 90% clearance rate and nine selling to average £4701. Top price there was Drumacritten Angela, a 13-month-old Clyth Diplomat daughter from the Nelson family’s draft sale. Out of the Maerdy Dublin daughter, Drumacritten Marylou, she sold at 7000gns to Shea McCann.

From the same home, Drumacritten Vanya, a 20-month-old daughter of Noble Prince, sold at 6800gns to auctioneer Richard Beattie. Her dam, Drumacritten Rose, is by Balthayock Musketeer.

Corrick Vienna

Corrick Vienna, a Doonally New-sired heifer from the McIlwaines, Co Tyrone, was selected as female champion and later sold for 5000gns to Thor Aikenson. She is out of the Inverlochy Ferdie daughter Corrick Noreen.
