CHAROLAIS QUICKSILVER LEADS CALY CALF SALE AT £4,000

 

Leading Charolais commercial calf producers Roddy and Hugh Thomson, West Park, Aberfeldy led the trade at the Caledonian Marts Show and sale of suckled calves at Stirling when they sold their “Quicksilver” calf for £4,000.  This second prizer winner was jointly purchased by Scott Warton, Carnoustie, and David and Neil Work, Dumbrech, Ellon.  The heifer calf was sired by the Doonally New son, HENDY VIAGRA, and is out of a Blue cross Angus cow.

 

David Henderson, Auchenrivoch, Kilsyth bred the Reserve Autumn-born Champion by his successful bull CARRADAL NEPTUNE.  At 2,100 gns Drew Hyslop, Bridge of Allan was the purchaser
