We started the Mowbraypark Herd in 1987 with three females with heifer calves at foot. We also did embryo work on selected lines to produce a top class herd and over the past 19 years we have had great success winning numerous shows.
In 1993 Mowbraypark Gigi won the great Yorkshire Show as a heifer and we sold her in the Autumn for 16,000gns. Gigi as a cow went on to win all the top accocades including The Royal Show, the Royal Highland, the Royal Welsh and the ultimate Burke Trophy.
Mowbraypark Invincible, Mowbraypark Northend and Mowbraypark Starlight were all young bulls that won the Royal Junior ull & the Marks & Spencer beef breeder competitions.
In October 1999 Mowbraypark Orlando won the Perth Bull Championship and sold for 25,000gns. We have had several successes at Perth including Mowbraypark Northern winning Intermediate Champion and selling for 12,000gns and Mowbraypark Torpedo winning Reserve Senior Champion and selling for 24,000gns.
Mowbraypark Paramount is our current herd sire. With an EBV of 46 he is half brother to Mowbarypark Gigi, and easy calving bull producing fast growing and easy fleshing progeny. The first three bulls sold by Paramount averaged 17,000gns each. We have sold Paramount semen not only in the U.K but exported to Brazil, Australia and Botswana.
